Late this afternoon, we headed over to Spokane Riverfront Park for an STCU family Christmas event. They had rented the 1909 Looff Carousel for us to use. Of course, Santa was there. John expressed his usual apprehension of the ‘jolly man in the red suit’ but did go sit on his lap, answered ‘yes’ he had been a good boy and ‘yes’ he wanted cars and trucks for Christmas.
We took turns riding the carousel with John and had great fun! Yes, the whole thing was enclosed and for an hour or so, we forgot that it was only 5 degrees outside.
It is so bitter cold out, if I had my way, I’d just spend day and night in front of our wood stove, drinking hot tea and hibernating until spring.
